Thanks, Sharon^* from reception, your voice muffled by the giant bouquet of roses your husband bought for you, undying love expressed with a gold card and phone-order florist. That's not even his writing on the card, you know.

For your information, you tactless cow, its not from lack of opportunity, its by choice. Or, more correctly, necessity. I'm broken. Faulty. Damaged goods. Temporarily off the market. Gunshy. Window shopping. Being 'snapped up' is a terrifying prospect.

About the best I could manage right now is a long, slow burn with someone who's as much a friend as a lover, short periods of intimacy followed by long periods of separation, more a promise of things to come than an exploration of now. And what sort of idiots are going to stand for that sort of relationship?

Yup. Everything is absolutely perfect: Keep your flowers, I have air miles and I couldnt be happier :-D
