Whirrs like a sewing machine.
Lovely double-needle Singer 212W145, and unlike my frankenpfaff it's all there. I bought it for $20 because the seller scared off all the other bidders by listing it as "Turns over but not 100% smooth, needs a handyman's touch". That would be because the new-looking bobbin cases were installed left-to-right, causing a subtle misalignment that would make it chatter and rattle and break the thred once in a while. 30 seconds with a screwdriver and it's definitely 100% smooth again.
Expect to see a lot more perfect parallel stitching in my projects.
