I'm booking my flights for Alaska (Dec 23- jan 6th) which approximately equates to the holiday season when Kscope will be shut down. I haven't asked Glen for the time off, as holiday plans is something we're going to discuss when he gets back in 5 weeks. By which time flights will be full or insanely expensive. Esther doesnt have the authority to authorise time off (or doesnt want to risk it) and the only thing going for me is that it'll be part of next year's holiday allowance.

So I'm going. And there will be arguments in 5 weeks time. And I'm going. Perhaps I'll have to take time off without pay. But I'm going. Perhaps I'll even get a written warning. And I'll still go.
