Hype?

So today I downloaded SKYPE, the IP telephony application everyone's raving about. Given that Vodafone have decided to kill my ability to call Alaska, and will look into it when they damn well feel like it (grrr)...

It runs nicely, and sound quality isnt bad! And the nice thing about it being P2P is that the more people on the network, the better it runs. In theory.

Of course if I had anyone to call on the damn thing... I'm sure the test lady is getting pissed off with me, she says the same thing every time and refuses to deviate from the script. I'll keep trying to win her over....

In other news, some lovely friends have asked if I'd mind looking after their gorgeous house for a couple of months in March next year (should they decide to go away). Oh my!! it could either be fantastic timing or terrible timing, but of course I said yes!

I've downloaded Skype but have no idea how it works. Boof hasn't downloaded it yet. We could try to talk if you'd like. If we ever can find crossover time at home! I don't even know what my name is on there... my user ID is tatsf94114, but at the top of the Skype thing it says "Skype - Paul".

If I could remember how the damn thing works I'd give you the appropriate info so we could chat.
