And today I'm feeling it. Urgh.

Yester-birth-day was a heap of fun, starting at 11 when everyone at Kaleidoscope went to see King Kong at the new 'gold class' theatre. Think first class, but will less plane noise and a larger screen. There are 48 huge, comfy, electrically adjustable chairs with fold out tray tables and an attendant call button. More beer! More pizza! And because there is so much space between you and the seats in front, anyone can get up and walk around without interfering with anyones view of the screen.

The movie was awesome. Yes, there was the odd ropey effect, and some of the dynamics were a bit dodgy, but overall it was exciting and moving. The bug attack scene had my skin crawling, and the final scenes had Kirsty sobbing. Though that may have had a bit to do with the wine and beer that kept appearing on our tables- before the movie started Glenn gave the waiter his credit card and said "make sure no-one is ever dry" or words to that effect.

After the movie we all went to a bar (where else?) where we were joined by a large number of other drunk tellytypes. I managed to escape from the carnage around 6pm, when I had to go to my own birthday dinner with lovely Paul and Alan, Paul and David, and Dean. We went to Chapel, the new restaurant on Ponsonby Rd- it was packed and loud, and by the end of dinner my ears were ringing. We retreated to Mea Culpa where we could sit on the big turkish carpet on the sidewalk and watch everyone go by. While drinking more wine, of course.

This morning wasnt nearly so pleasant. I opened my eyes briefly at 8.30 to find my curtains open and the sun streaming in, and then my head exploded. I couldnt move to close the blinds, so I just pulled a pillow over my face and hoped I might suffocate. Robbie and Fish called at 9 to wish me a happy american birthday, and I think I managed to talk coherently. Then Kirsty called to wonder if I was coming in to work today, as she was on the couch with an icepack on her head and needed assistance...

I'm at work and I'm surprisingly perky. Maybe its because I think I like my job again...

You went for a sit down as soon as you walked in the door- you were zonked out and snoring 30 seconds later. Paul was the same, but in bed. I had evil thoughts but kept forgetting them- calling the taxi took all my concentration.

Yes.

Ready... errr.. ummm... FUCK! Now! Ready now!!
