In a decidedly flawed attempt to cheer myself up, I'm very nearly convinced that this is the bike I've been looking for, and have decided to buy it.

There are many justifications to support this purchase, but the main one is that I miss riding. I used to really enjoy zipping around the streets, filling up once a week with $15 gas, being able to go anywhere and be sociable without having to worry about parking...
That it has low mileage and is offered for sale at a very good price is an incentive too. Though...

The pink handlebars will be the first thing to go!! You can tell a girl owned it first... They'll be anodised black before you know it. Or maybe polished. Hmmm....

Date: 2006-01-31 11:30 pm (UTC)The rear exhaust has surface rust where it catches tyre spray, and will be repainted.
The chain is a bit gunky, a clean will do it good, and the wheels are dusty. The entire engine could do with a good clean...
The plastic taillight bracket is busted where the left indicator should mount, so I'll plastic weld that.
lots of fun to be had while still keeping it original!
