Home in TeAroha this weekend- after a typical rush-hour stop and start drive on Friday night. Last night while making burgers i sucessfully tested the smoke detector component of the house alarm- luckily for me it isnt monitored (although It's supposed to be)...
Had a nice sleep, probably because I was warm between my snuggly husbears, but also possibly as a consequence of the vigorous nookie husbear2 and I had enjoyed just before bed. (While Husbear1 worked on a busted computer in the office- bloody geeks ;-))
This morning we woke to some really awful news- one of Rick's friends was killed last night, riding her motorbike at 4am. Hit and run... :-( so we had a subdued morning, although I suspect it's yet to really sink in...
I fitted the new Pedders dampers to the Piazza this morning, an easy job that has left the Piazza handling like, well, like a Piazza with good dampers really- which means total cornering ability isnt too much improved, but the alarming pitching and bucking during power oversteer has gone.
Went off to the Matamata A&P show where Rick and Morris' company, XTConsultants, was sponsoring the miniature pony competition. (I figure it makes sense because theyre both hung like horses, but that may be my unique interpretation. As fas as I know they're not otherwise horsey people...) Hung round the fairground rides watching the woofy daddies and eating sausage-on-a-stick, then back home...
Whipped up a batch of choc chip cookies, climbed into the roof to figure out how we're going to network this house (answer: from under the floor) and watched as Morris cleaned spyware and virusii from the other computer he's fixing...
