Money trouble

Im enjoying living in the house on my own- plenty of time for me to do my own stuff, keeping the kitchen fanatically clean while the bathroom rots, knowing where my keys are because no-ones 'tidied' them ;-) However the rent.... hoo boy, the rent is a killer.

Its all not helped by the fact that Taz and I borrowed money from my parents to consolidate our loans and HP's- and now Taz has gone (and is still jobless) im obliged to repay my parents on my own- something im not all that happy about. I do appreciate that Taz has no job and very little money, so im willing to let it slide until he gets a job.

debxena has offered to pay Taz' portion of the repayments until he gets a job, a noble gesture, but I cant let her shoulder the burden of her brother's mistakes. Lets face it, this is my screwup, a situation I have let myself in for and one that I will just have to sort out on my own.

In the meantime, while I squeeze my pennies and wait for Taz to get a job, I will have to get a flatmate. Ah the joy of flatmates, horrible alien invaders changing things and disrupting my personal space. I'll be looking for the type of flatmate who eats nothing, rarely stays in the house, has no personal posessions, is gay or gay-friendly, and is polite and respectful.

An airline steward then. Or a goldfish.

Me? Noble? *laughs* But I do want to help if I can. Taz may be looking out for number one and only number one right now, but I'm not like that, and never will be.

Giving you *hugs* ... where are you going to advertise for a flatmate?

Not sure about the whole advertising business, Ive always had the best luck just putting the word out that im looking for a flatmate- at least that way im likely to get a friend of a friend. Someone with a BIT of a recommendation, pr even someone I know already. Preferably no-one I'm currently sleeping with though, that could get messy ;-)
