You would think that when a job has a very strict deadline, and the consequence of missing the deadline is the loss of tens of thousands of dollars, that everyone involved would be absolutely fixated on the approaching deadline. And anyone who had it wrong would be corrected quick smart by everyone else.
But no. Absolutely everyone involved in this hellish nightmare of a job has given me a different due date, ranging from 'yesterday' to 'next week'. Unfortunately the person who said 'yesterday' was right. Fortunately I believed them, worked late last night and got it finished by this morning at least. Now everyone ELSE is now panicking- my part of the project is finished (touch wood), but theres still an awful lot of last-minute stuff to be done by other production houses...
Despite the flurry of panicked phone calls and emails this morning I'm blissfully happy- Husbear1 came up last night and we were very naughty. As usual. And I kept thinking today was Thursday (because the midweek husbear fix normally happens on a Wednesday) but its not- its Friday! :-)
Mum and Dad are coming for breakfast on Sunday, Rick's nervous about making a good impression- so sweet...

Date: 2004-03-19 05:34 am (UTC)What is with this "Bear" thing (aside from the obvious thankyou), and is "Husbear" really necessary?
BTW if your folks can handle the chipmunk I'm sure anything/body else will be a relief. BTW what sort of parents come round for Sunday brekkie? Mine'd be too bloody scared of what they might find..... ;o)
