Whee!!

Had a great flight over, and straight into bers, bars and cowboys. Well, cowboy hats at least. I think I like it here...

UPDATE: ok so it seems my palmtop is refusing to play nice with the wireless. Time to retype the post I typed yesterday- updates piecemeal.

Ok, Dallas! Michael picked me up from the airport ewith the help of Max the jack russel. As you all know, I love jack russels and they love me, and Max is no exception. Nothing like puppy cuddles to make one feel welcome in a new city, though as it turns out Dallas is a very welcoming city anyway! Back to Michael's place in the city, all high stud cielings and high tech, and a shower. Oh boy did I need a shower- 20 hours on planes makes for some nasty socks and underwear (though I must say I, and someone else I know, are fond of sweaty underwear. You know who you are).

We headed off to a great Tex-Mex restaurant for dinner, Uncle Julio's, and I was introduced to the swirl margarita. A couple of swirl margaritas. Noice. Which all made for a pleasant trip to the Roundup later...

Cowboy bar, furry bears, gropage.. check! The place was full of cowboys. Or, at least, their hats. Apparently the quality of the talent wasnt as good as usal, but I still managed to enjoy myself. met a rather nice fuzzy canadian/american called nick who received a great many backrubs from me, due to the monstrous amount of fur on his back. I could make an excuse about being cold but it's actually pretty warm here. I was quite comfortable in a teeshirt. It all ended well, with me back in bed at michael's place. My own bed, on my own, in case you bitches were getting gossipy.

And yes, I've heard that my new nickname is likely to be 'debbie', but to be honest I'm back at work on Tuesday so I cant get too outrageous. Well, maybe a little. I can always blame it on the jetlag. I had a surprising text message telling me to behave myself, and I have a sneaking suspicion that its good advice. After all, I wouldnt want to get a reputation here, I rather suspect I may be back.
