It died in 2005 when MG-Rover finally went bust. The V8 ZTs were the a last-ditch effort to revive flagging sales, but as awesome as they were (are?) they were too late. And of course the moment the parent company went under, sales of existing stock screeched to a halt. Who's going to buy a brand new car with uncertain backup?
Yeah wait 12 to 18 months they will be sooo damn cheap esp as Jap imports arrive. More fun than U can poke a stick at & from initial reports well built (for a British car) Be interesting to watch what happens. I bet the Chinese will revive the name & badge big time soon. Parts wont be a problem as mostly bin parts from other manufacturers anyway. Engine is bullet proof for starters Lucas electronics are worst bet tho A good ole 4 barrel holly could fix those ;-)
