growler_southI'm about to kill my old laptop. Which, considering it's already the frankenbeast with no screen, battery, or optical drive and its wirless antennae dangling out a split in the casing, means I'm going to have to do something drastic. Like throw it off a bridge. Or set fire to it.
It's decided that it doesnt like retaining its video drivers. Quite why it's decided this now, when it's had the same drivers for the last 2 years, and nothing new installed or updated in the last 6 months, is beyond me. I'm putting it down to the evil that is Packard Bell. Actually, I'm just putting it down.
Luckily I have a few desktop machines to resurrect to take its place as media centre. And maybe next week I'll have the time to do it too. Maybe. Monday's a public holiday and the bar's having an underwear party on the sunday night- it'll be fun, but probably wont kick my week off to the best of starts.
