I finally got around to turning one of my old PCs into a media centre. It's about a bazillion times faster and more responsive than the old laptop I was using, the video out is superb and doesnt need reconfiguring every 5 minutes, and optical audio means I have real 5.1 surround sound. (Or would have, if porn was recorded in 5.1. But still).
Lovely. though I'm going ot be replacing capacitors in the workstation's power supply soon, some of them are a little bulgey.
Oh and all this electrocarnage has been done between stocking the bar and other worklike activities. Feeling rather accomplished.
