The new engine mounts are in my car, and yes, I guess they are just about perfect. Damn genuine parts. You win this time, Mr. Toyota.

In other news, I just spent a thoroughly debauched 24 hours with a fuzzy, stocky, blue-eyed German with a killer smile and a penchant for puppetry. I'm attempting to clean up the bedroom, and I'm astonished at how far just one tin of crisco will spread, especially when I can personally vouch for the whereabouts of half of it. I'm not quite washing seabirds with Dawn, but a team of hazmat-suited hippies wouldn't go astray.

A dear friend once told me "There is no way to get Crisco out of your sheets. But if you throw some frozen french fries in the dryer with them, you can have a tasty snack while you fold the sheets."

He was sadly misinformed. A hot wash with regular laundry powder and a cup of white vinegar will remove both the crisco and the smell.
