I'm massaging the big dent out of the MR2's fender. In the rain. The fender is fucked- it'll never be straight again, which is totally depressing because it's completely and utterly rust free. Not to mention that it matches the paint on the rest of the car, and a new fender wont.

At least its raining, so I can imagine I'm miserable because of that.

Some bastard reversed into it while it was parked- it wasnt dented one day, and it was the next. :-(

"Pull up to the fender, baby" doesn't have quite the right ring, does it?

Yup. Its an american term as most of my readers are american- or soon will be.

Consider it a free vocabulary lesson ;-)

But isn't a mudguard the rubber flappy thing on the body behind the wheel?

Ah, the two terms are used nearly interchangably in the US, as far as I can tell. When I ordered mudflaps for my RAV4, Toyota insisted they were mud guards.

mmmmm, a mudflap downunder is that rubber/chrome thing that screws onto the mudguard and stops mud splashing down the side of the car..

(hey I love your pic too)..

*hugs*

Man, that rots.
My vehicles in the past have had perfect bodies brutalized by asses as well.
It is a gross feeling...
