Is it moral to use someone else's network connection, for example an unsecured wireless network leaking out of someones business? If it were my network and someone were downloading screeds of data, then yes, I would be upset. But a casual connection, using only a few Kb- checking email and such- I wouldnt mind in the slightest.
I see it like the difference between your neighbour taking a drink from your outside tap, and your neighbour using it to fill his pool.. one is neighbourliness, the other theft.
