Well we finally made it to Cape Reinga and home again. The weather was awesome, warm and clear the whole day, and the roads surprisingly empty- which was great, given that they're all curvy twisty and mostly well sealed.



Brian in his native habitat, taking photos of... something. At least by this stage he'd stoppped chasing the seagulls. Oh and he seemed inordinately amused by the town of Manginangina. And Waipu. And Uretiti. And Waikamukau (though he hasn't been there yet).

Ha... well, I didn't really pay much attention to the last picture (bad lighting, can't see your face, Grant's caption). It was actually a compliment, in that I thought it was f8n_begorra, whom we both know.

What great pics! I've never been to Cape Reinga... or Hawke's Bay, actually... But luckily, I've been pretty much everywhere else in New Zealand. And so I should have!
