Well we finally made it to Cape Reinga and home again. The weather was awesome, warm and clear the whole day, and the roads surprisingly empty- which was great, given that they're all curvy twisty and mostly well sealed.

Brian in his native habitat, taking photos of... something. At least by this stage he'd stoppped chasing the seagulls. Oh and he seemed inordinately amused by the town of Manginangina. And Waipu. And Uretiti. And Waikamukau (though he hasn't been there yet).

Brian is SUCH a sweetie - I still remember him fondly from a few years ago when he was here for Bear Essentials...
