growler_south"I'm going to need a bucket of water," I thought, as my hand hit the snooze button and my fingers creaked and popped in protest.
Doing up buttons confirmed my suspicion. Perhaps a plastic bag of water would be better- then I wouldn't have to bring the bucket back.
The scene on the street was chaos, just as my fingers had predicted. Neighbours frantically scrubbed at frozen windshields with newspapers, credit cards, dustbin lids- anything to scrape the heavy frost off.
I nonchalantly started the car, tossed my plastic bag of water at my windshield, and drove off.
Smug bastard.
Luckily that's it for today- there's a clear blue sky and I'm not predicting any changes. And now I'm back in myhatch hutch with the heater on I'm fine.
