growler_southFrom previous entries you may remember a lad called Kenny. Kenny is the guy who had unsafe sex with Taz without asking first, and Taz' reluctance to tell me about it was one small nail in the coffin of our relationship. The fact that the unsafe sex occurred wasnt the problem- accidents and miscommunications happen, and I gave Taz the benefit of the doubt- the problem was the amount of time it took Taz to tell me. Did he try to get away with it? or did he really just need time to choose the best moment? (I dont think breaking into tears in the bathroom whilst shaving counts as a very good 'right moment' but there you go) But thats history now, and we're dealing with it like adults.
Last week I chose to give Kenny the same benefit of the doubt I had given Taz- accidents and miscommunications. So we were talking again.
Subtext: Kenny appears to be very much emotionally attached to M. M and I are great mates, we get along really well and have a great time whenever we're together. Its a wonderful thing. Kenny and M had something similar but as I understand it Kenny's jealous/attached outbursts somewhat strained that relationship.
8pm this evening, SMS from Kenny
U CAN ALL FUK OFF. UR AL USERS. U, UR BFREMD M, AND R. FUK OFF U CUNTS. OK
goodness me, someones got a bee in their bonnet... I ask "what did I miss? what did i do?"
IF I WAS M. U WOULDNT MAKEME WAIT. UD B HERE NOW. I HATE USERS!
Quick phone call to M- seems that Kenny had been on the phone asking (demanding?) that M drive 2 hours up to auckland to have sex. M, having just got back from an exhausting holiday in Sydney, declined, and all hell breaks loose. It appears from the messages that Kenny is supremely jealous of the friendship M and I have. Odd because as far as i am aware friendship isnt exclusive- M is friends with LOTS of people...
Then it gets better.
Kenny plays his trump card- he calls R and tells him all about M and I having a sordid love affair behind his back. R calls me straight away and issues quote of the day "I know youve been having sex with M behind my back. I know youve been having it in front of my face too- i think it all depended on which side of the bed I was on while you two were doing it..."
I love R sometimes...
Not sure where things went from there because It wasnt my issue any more- involving R was a serious miscalculation on Kenny's part though.
When I got home I was greeted by 2 emails.
1) "got tazs number? want to fuck him bareback again, wooof"
Okay now that's just nasty. im not sure Taz will be too happy about that, he's still very sensitive about the role the unsafe sex had in our breakup and was fairly close to blaming Kenny anyway... of course, for me, the unsafe sex had no part whatsoever in our breakup, it was the way Taz handled it but I dont think Taz sees it that way... and what a childish attempt at making me feel bad!! it gets worse though...
2) "its clear to me that your only interested in M. so good luck and leave me teh fuck alone you user, your a wothless peice of shit dont call me a gain, call M hes hiv+, probly just like you ;-)"
now that one's even nastier- months back M had an hiv scare, and was tested and cleared last month. Being close to M i knew all this already and we've always been safe in any case- the rest of the world doesnt work the way Kenny's world works, luckily. Kenny's clearly misunderstood the reasons for Taz and my breakup- looks like Kenny thinks we broke up because there was a chance that Taz is hiv+. He's trying to spook me with half-understood and innaccurate information.
I'm really too smart for this level of attempted manipulation. Months of mental sparring with R have sharpened my skills to the point where this is just insulting- not even a child would fall for this. *sigh*
My reply to Kenny?
"Im sad that your upset. Having sex with friends is hurting you, so i suggest you stick to the sauna. im sorry to have lost a friend."

Wishing anyone to die or catch a disease is just fucked up.
And since I know people of his attitude I know how angry and sort of helpless it makes you feel - helpless because no smart remark or simply ignoring them will help because they just won't understand.
I'm sorry for you having to deal with him.
But from what I've read you sound like a clever and caring person - so don't mind those who try to make your life hell because they can't get a grip on their own.
