AND tank tracks for legs!

Jim Starr's application to use his new all-terrain wheelchair has been declined by the UK's DVLA.

This article in the Daily Mail has more pictures... err, I mean, sums up this injustice.

I wouldn't decline him anything! WOOF!

I agree that he's a total woof - and if those are rubber treads I really don't see a problem. It's bureaucratic bullshit - I read the article, he talks about using the machine to do things with his kids in places a standard power chair can't go, like the beach. He's NOT talking about taking it to the market or the like as some dimwit commenter brought up.

Of course, I look at something like this from the perspective that if something like this really helps someone with a physical challenge, the rest of us should be willing to put up with a little inconvenience since that pales in comparison to what someone (in this case) who must use a wheelchair has to put up with.

It does seem to be a bunch of bureaucratic BS

Yes, totally hot. So much bureaucratic BS!

He's got that look in his eyes that makes me want to get on my knees and do his bidding.

Of course there would be no problem if he could ride the thing. But then everyone would want one. Can't have that, you know.
