growler_southI came to work today, still buzzing from morning snuggles and coldrex, to find the place mummified with plastic wrap. Once I'd convinced myself that I *wasnt* tripping (by counting the lovely wee pills in the Coldrex box, all accounted for thank god) I went inside- through the decontamination room, up the stairs, fought my way through a couple of layers of plastic film, and to my desk. Which was also covered in plastic.
Honestly, it looks like the house off E.T in here, or maybe Cristo got really drunk and had a party.
They are grinding the concrete floor, polishing and lacquering it, and creating huge volumes of dust and debris in the process. Giant dust extractors spill their hoses out every door, spewing clouds of powdered concrete into the carpark and onto the parked cars. The wet, parked cars. Its drizzling. Our carpark looks like a concrete car sculpture garden. I parked *my* car across the road.
