*there* you all are...

Aha!! I just figured out where California is. I always thought it was that peninsula on the left coast, you know, the one on the other side of the Gulf of California. But no! I now know that's actually Baja California, a part of Mexico. California is north of that, with only one coast. (How come California is so famous for its beaches when its only got one coast? odd.)

Big countries are weird.

Because there are lots of people here to TALK about our beaches here in Alta California; down in Baja, the area is (except for a few urban areas like Tijuana) rather sparsely populated, with poor roads. Even though Baja has some amazing beaches, they're also nearly impossible to get to -- so you don't hear much about them.

Does that make more sense? It's the combination of good beaches with access that gets the attention....

silly kiwi!!

New Zealand... isn't that like by Canada, said the Bear from San Francisco... CALIFORNIA!

And yes, perhaps just one coast, Mr. Island nation... but from one end to the other, it takes a solid 16+ hour of driving. That's a whole lot of coast line.

Get your hot little ass over here and I'll show you.

*shrug* -- because I never do. This isn't a whine, it's just a fact. In person -- however I come across online -- I am a very shy, very quiet guy who tends to be overlooked when the hormones start fizzing.

Ain't that the god damned truth!

If, when we do eventually meet and I pounce on you and do extremely RudeThings with you, I catch you reading/replying to LiveJournal in the middle of said RudeThings, I will be most displeased.
Of course that might just encourage me to take out my displeasure on your ass, and since you'd probably enjoy it I'm not sure thats actually a threat.
Suffice to say there will be plenty of time for you to check LJ in between sweaty grunty kinky sessions. Well, *enough* time at least...

PS tell me who it was too!! links to profile/pictures very much appreciated and will be treated with discretion. IE I'll only beat off to the pics in the privacy of my room, not at work or anything. ;-)

Re: Dirty bear...

[identity profile] beg1n.livejournal.com 2004-11-01 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
lol - I was doing said RudeThings whilst GREG was typing his lj reply...not me :) That would be the wrong kind of multi-tasking!

Believe me, I would give you 100% of my attention for all the sweaty grunty kinky sessions!

Re: Dirty bear...

[identity profile] growler-south.livejournal.com 2004-11-01 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Besides, with me *and* the husbears you'd be needing all the multitasking skills you could muster. Though I get the impression you'd be a natural. You tart. ;-))

Ignore the multiple replies too, LJ is doing my head in today...

Well, that IS California as well. It's just that most Americans don't think of it as California 'cuz it's, like, not part of the USA. All in all, if you were to drive the entire length of California, it's about a 3,050 km drive. The road's surprisingly good all the way down, especially given that you're in the middle of absolutely nowhere for the last 1,200 km or so.

As George mentioned above, all of California is generally divided into two halves: Upper and Lower. The American bit [which of course we stole from Mexico way back when] is Upper/Alta; the Mexican bit is Lower/Baja. And just as the USA is a federation of states; so is Mexico, which means there are two states down there: Baja California [BC] and Baja California Sur [BCS].

[identity profile] furr-a-bruin.livejournal.com 2004-11-01 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. They must have improved the roads in Baja since the last I heard, when there were a number of resorts and such that the recommendation was to visit by boat... ;)

[identity profile] dacubsf.livejournal.com 2004-11-05 10:43 am (UTC)(link)
yeah and the nicer beaches are down in Baja which is Mexico. Go figure
