Despite work being crazy busy,
Despite Boof doing his best to make me jealous that he's on a tropical cruise,
Despite my tummy gurgling and making most unpleasant noises,
Despite everything I have yet to pack...

I'm terribly excited about my upcoming trip to SF, which shall commence in

THREE MORE DAYS!!!!

Had dinner and telly watchin with [livejournal.com profile] paddygrappler and [livejournal.com profile] paulo38, and I'm now at home attempting to remember everything. Or find everything (where's my fuckin black sweater? Aaargh!). I need clothing management here! And its all compounded by the fact that I'm taking practically everything I own with me- so what am I going to wear tomorrow, eh?
*grumble mutter*

*bounces excitedly*

Oh and, Boof, I'm kiddin about you making me jealous, you're so cute when you're happy :-)

Good boy, you're listening to us... it goes from cold to hot to cold at any time of day, any day here. You'll have to dress in layers to keep up with it... but naked works too.

I'm going through similar stress getting ready for my trip; I hope the next time you cum all overcome to the US you can time things to make the run. Despite the fact I drive myself crazy getting ready to go, it's fantastic once I hit the foothills of the Sierras for the gorgeous ride up to the site.

Hope you and Boof have a fantastic time.

I've been trying to think if there is any unique advice I could offer. Someone has already told you to bring clothes for both very warm and very cold weather. That's the most important. So, I'll offer this:

If, in you're already over-booked schedule, you have the chance to cross the bridge into Oakland/Berkeley (motorcycle ride!), visit the UC-Berkeley campus. And there you must -

1. Walk down Telegraph Ave. Time stopped there in 1968. Buy a tie-dye shirt and political bumper stickers.
2. On Telegraph Ave., buy a slice of Blondie's pizza. It's tradition.
3. Visit the campus quad. You'll recognize it from all those Free Speech protest films from the 60s.
4. Climb the hill just above the football stadium. Sit next to the canon that fires when the home team scores. From there you have a great photo-op view of San Francisco, flanked by the Bay Bridge on the left and the Golden Gate Bridge on the right. Watch the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge.

What is it with your tummy?
This is a very common theme in your journal, or maybe I only pay attention to things concerning your lower GI system.

Are you hosting something?

Hosting? Not last time I checked, which was last week...

It has more to do with me forgetting to eat until I get hungry. Which can be a couple of days if I'm busy and stressed. Yes I know I'm supposed to eat and yes I know its bad to forget but I do- often I fall into bed and then think, "Hmmm, I'm a tiny bit hungry, did I eat anything today?". But by then its easier to go to sleep rather than getting up and going somewhere to buy food...

Well my advice (as I sit in SF airport waiting for my flight home), pack as little as possible, its hot here, had the blast chiller in my room at Paris Hiltons Motel on the lowest setting to keep cool.
Also, clear as much space on your credit card as possible, once you get here, you go into Russian Refugee mode, buying all these shiny things you cant get at home. Each visit to Dudley Perkins Harley-Davidson notched up US$300 a visit. Now do try and make it out of the bedroom if thats at all possible, it is a lovely city and you just have to reserve some time and just be a tourist.

Oh! I almost forgot about that. I'll talk to my bank manager in Geneva straight away. ;-)

I was looking at prices of shiny electronics and I think our parallel imports are cheaper and newer than what you get in the US! Besides I have all the shiny toys I want already. All I want now is a wee alaskan moose and I'm set :-)
