Computer nerdery
May. 27th, 2008 12:06 pmWorking in 3D without open GL is hard, as is working in After Effects (2.5D). Given that I'm currently working on a large-ish project that needs a fair amount of animation, I found my home PC somewhat lacking.
Ok, so I finally broke down and *bought* a graphics card.
I've just gone from the old scavenged GeForce2 MX400 to a nice shiny 7300GT (256MB DDR3). I must say, it's nice having antialiased textures in Maya, and open GL in After Effects doesnt hurt either. Neither did the $95 price.
