WTF is twitter about? What am I doing right now? I'm sitting here with a laptop on my lap, updating twitter. Duh.
If you want to see how often I update twitter by telling it I'm updating it, I'm growlerbearnz on there.

Date: 2008-04-03 07:11 pm (UTC)I just got a twitter invite from Dax, so I made an account, and followed the "follows" relationships to discover that dozens of SF bears have all added themselves in the past week. It's like a disease of some kind.
I predict it will be as successful as Orkut and Friendster. A lot of folks will join... and then not be able to find a use for it.

Date: 2008-04-03 09:59 pm (UTC)Standing on its own, it's... lame. I guess you can display your twitter messages on yer blog or something, but it just seems a bit half assed.
Now, if folks could call my cell phone and get a synthetic voice reading off my status message, like "Watching horrible movie at theater, send text message", that'd be worthwhile. Except... I'd still have to remember to update that stupid status all the time. Maybe status messages should all come with a built-in expiration.
