Errors in red. Oh dear.

It seems that while Mr Toyota may be clever with the rustproofing and engineering, he's not so clever with the language. Either that or the guy who was proofing this particular diagram was having a REAL BAD DAY.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go and twim my grass stopper.

I've jsut noticed a couple more errors too- what's a 'braket', and that 'regulator handle' looks an awful lot like an 'inside handle' (whereas the 'regulator handle' is actually the item with the missing label)

It's good to have a well-written manual for an Aussie/American car, because you'll be referring to it a LOT in the course of ownership... ;-)

I once (before the Do Not Call list) got a "marketing survey" call concerning cars. When I said that I drive a Honda, the next question was what would it take to get me to consider a domestic model again....

I said something like "a ten year track record of reliability, fit and finish consistently right up there with Honda and Toyota across their entire product line. Engineering on a par with theirs, including fuel economy, emissions, driving experience and safety, delivered at a similar or lower price."

Not what they wanted to hear, I'm sure.

They did a good enough job with the rest of the chapter... the sheer volume of screwups on that one diagram suggests that it was assigned to someone's kid as a school project. Or a joke.

I bet the answer is as simple as "No spellchecker for diagram" :) Though spell-check of course will miss Grass instead of Glass. Oh well.
Or you may be right, and page was prepared as a graduation work of a student *EG*
